LINE MANAGEMENT PROTOCOLS COURSE

This course introduces the student to the fundamental line management tools, skills and protocols. It builds the foundation upon which a student can enter a wreck, cavern, cave or mine penetration diving courses. Being proficient with line skills, allows the student to focus on environment specific skills and protocols instead of being additionally tasked with line management skills.

This non-decompression, non-overhead environment (OHE) course is conducted in a shallow setting. Since portions of the course will be performed with blacked-out masks, a maximum depth of 30ft/9m with direct, unobstructed access to the surface must be strictly maintained.

This 2-day course consists of a minimum of 4 hours of academic and hands-on, dry-land sessions and 3 open water dives.

OUR INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED COURSES

In addition to the foundational entry and specialty level courses, Tam Ha Project also offers intermediate, combined and advanced technical courses. In OPEN CIRCUIT we teach all the way to Advanced Mixed Gas; in CLOSED CIRCUIT we currently offer courses through Helitrox with decompression. These CCR courses are specifically for the ScubaForce SF2 eCCR rebreather, in either a back-mount or side-mount configuration.

OPEN CIRCUIT TECHNICAL COURSES

INTRO TO TECH & ADVANCED NITROX

INTRO to TECH introduces students to the world of technical diving, familiarizing them with the specific  equipment, precision buoyancy, trim, proper propulsion techniques and enhanced situational awareness. Additionally, students are introduced to advanced gas planning techniques in a no-decompression environment.
This course is strictly a no-decompression course; students are permitted to use Nitrox (EAN) mixes, provided the gas mix is within their current level of certification.

Intro to Tech may be combined with TDI Advanced Nitrox course at the discretion of the instructor.

The Advanced Nitrox course covers the use of EAN21 through 100 percent oxygen for optimal decompression mixes to a maximum depth of 130ft/40m. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits and hazards for dives NOT REQUIRING staged decompression.

This combined 5-day course consists of a minimum of 6 hours of academic and hands-on, dry-land sessions, a confined water session and 4 open water dives. The Decos, Stages & Safeties  Course is highly recommended to be incorporated.

Helitrox & Deco  Procedures

This course introduces the students to staged decompression diving utilizing Helium in the breathing
mixture to a maximum depth of 150ft/45m.

Backgas mixtures can not contain more than 35% (+/- 5%) Helium and no less than 21% (+/- 1%) Oxygen.
Decompression mixes can contain up to 100% Oxygen but only 1 decompression cylinder is permitted.

This combined 5-day course consists of a minimum of 6 hours of academic and hands-on, dry-land sessions, 3 open water skills dives and 2 open water experience dives.

breathing mixes and continues fine-tuning staged
decompression to a maximum depth of 200ft/60m.

Backgas mixtures can not contain less than 18% (+/- 1%) Oxygen.
Decompression mixes can contain up to 100% Oxygen. 2 decompression cylinders are permitted.

This combined 5-day course consists of a minimum of 8 hours of academic and hands-on, dry-land sessions, 2 open water skills dives and  4 open water experience dives.

Adv. Trimix (Adv. Mixed Gas) Course

The Advanced Trimix course introduces the students to hypoxic breathing mixes and continues perfecting staged decompression to a maximum depth of 330ft/100m. It represents the final step in the open-circuit open water journey.

Backgas mixtures will contain less than 18% Oxygen.
Decompression mixes can contain up to 100% Oxygen.  3 decompression cylinders are required.

This combined 5-day course consists of a minimum of 8 hours of academic and hands-on, dry-land sessions, 2 open water skills dives and  4 open water experience dives.
